Artist Bio:Tina C. Holmes (nee Kalmanson) was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and now calls Milwaukee, Wisconsin her home. She comes from a family of artists and musicians, with a lineage she can trace back to the Lac Courte Oreilles band of Ojibwe. Her mother and grandmother taught her to knit, crochet, needlepoint and crewlwork at an early age and continues to use this knowledge. With these arts established, she observed the traditional beadwork of her ancestors and self-taught herself several forms of beading, including traditional Ojibwe beadwork, loom work, peyote, brick, and herringbone stitches (bead weaving with a needle). Most, if not all, of her designs are original, and her style ranges from traditional to contemporary beadwork.

LittleRedfeather (Miskwaaens Migiziwiwan) is my given Ojibwe name by mother of the Minn. Chippewa Band of White Earth.
LittleRedfeather Design™ is very much committed and passionate in expressing the beauty of her heritage in Native culture, the positive impacts of Native spirituality, respect for Mother Earth and Nature, dance, tradition and more in all First Nation's community and all non-Native Community.
